Ally Williams

Ally joined State of Events as a reporter in January 2011. During her time with the weekly newscast, she’s covered topics ranging from the 2011 New Zealand Earthquake to prescription drug abuse. She is also a reporter and anchor for SFSU’s College Sports Report, and reported on Bryan Stow, the Giants fan assaulted by two Dodger fans on opening day, as well as discussing the Women’s NCAA Basketball Tournament.

She began her career in media at the age of 18 as a programming and producing intern for the Ken and Corey Morning Show with Entercom in San Francisco. As a result of being with a show with no official producer, Ally was completely responsible for editing, inserting, and organizing previous bits and commercials for a full hour of the show.

After her time with Entercom, Ally became an intern for the San Francisco Giants. With the video board, Ally operated cameras, shadowed Amy G., the sideline reporter for the Giants, and helped anywhere it was necessary during the season. She is proud to say that she was able to be a part of the 2010 World Series run, and that will be a memory that will last with her forever.

Ally is interested in all aspects of news, but has a particular passion for sports. In her free time, she enjoys cheering on the San Francisco Giants, as well as traveling, spending time with family and friends, and exploring the beautiful city of San Francisco.

A Bay Area native, Ally grew up in San Jose, California. She recently graduated from San Francisco State University with a B.A. in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts. Ally finished her schooling at the age of 20, completing her degree in three years.
