Beat of the bay stops

Derek Highsmith reports on the closure of San Francisco’s Energy 92.7.

On September tenth K-N-G-Y changed its name and format after it was sold.

The station’s staff were fired. Dubbed K-REV the new station is nearly identical to a station in Las Vegas also owned by Ed Stolz, the new owner.

Former employees speculate that for now the station is being operated outside the bay area.

Pain, Pleasure for charity

A bit of pain and pleasure… all for a good cause.

Traffic turned to gridlock in San Francisco’s South of Market District Sunday, September 28.

Thirteen City blocks were closed for the 26th annual Folsom Street Fair.

With nearly 250 vendors and two live stages, Folsom is the world’s largest leather-fetish event.

Proceeds raised benefit over a dozen charities.

Last year’s event collected over $340,000.

Over 400,000 people attend the fair each year.
